We know you want your purchase right away, but sometimes good things take a little time.

Shipping Notice
Ontario Soft Water will keep you informed about your purchase by sending information to the email address you provided at checkout. Here’s what you’ll receive:
- a confirmation of your completed order
- once it ships we send a tracking number
- for local deliveries, we’ll provide you with the name and phone number of the carrier
Free Shipping
We’re very happy to offer Free Shipping* on most orders within most places of Canada. That's a lot of "most" but some restrictions do apply.
*Free Shipping Exceptions
Shipping addresses located in Nunavut, Yukon & Northwest Territories will be subject approval at the time of order. To order to these locations, please call our toll free number and speak to a real live person.1-877-236-2970
Ontario Soft Water reserves the right to not ship any order on the basis of excessive shipping cost.
Warehouses
Ontario Soft Water ships replacement filters, reverse osmosis units and a few other products from our Kitchener, Ontario location. Other items ship directly from the manufacturer and will take a little longer to arrive at your doorstep.
Delivery Time
Most orders received by Ontario Soft Water will be shipped the following business day. Filter orders should arrive within 5 business days by Canada Post.
Items that shop direct from the manufacturer can take up to 4 weeks although this is rare. Due to the combination of carriers, warehouse locations and customer address, we cannot promise that items will arrive within that time frame.
If an item is out of stock it will not be listed on our website as available. Inventory countdown will prevent you from ordering out of stock products. However, if we make a mistake (sorry) we will let you know as quickly as possible and will provide you with an ETA for the item, a refund, or we will help you find an alternative product.
If your order is time-sensitive, (like a birthday present) please allow 4-6 weeks, just in case.
Carriers
Ontario Soft Water uses Canada Post to deliver your filters. Purolator of UPS for Reverse Osmosis units. Really large and/or heavy shipments will be shipped by truck. These deliveries are typically made to residential addresses on a short truck with lift gate service.
When a delivery address is close to our shipping warehouse in Kitchener, Ontario, we will use our own trucks and employees for deliveries.
Shipping Damage
Despite our best packing efforts, some orders may be damaged in shipment. If you have received an order with damages you can do the following:
- Refuse shipment if the package is clearly damaged
- Immediately inspect the outer packaging and contents for shipping damage
- Report this damage to Ontario Soft Water
We need to know your item is damaged as quickly as possible so we can make a claim with the delivery carrier. They can be fussy about such things, so try to inspect your package right away.

Multiple Package Shipments
We make every effort to send your order in one shipment, but sometimes it is necessary for us to break up orders into multiple packages or shipments. So, if you order a water bottle for Aunt Sue, and an alkaline stick for yourself, and an air quality testing unit for the baby's room, they will most likely arrive at different times as they are shipping from different locations.
Delivery Address Accuracy
For Ontario Soft Water to deliver your order as quickly as possible we require that delivery details are accurate. We are not responsible for orders that are delayed, lost, or misdirected as a result of an inaccurate address being provided. (You won't make a mistake, but our insurance carriers told us to say that.)
Ontario Soft Water will not be responsible for additional shipping charges that result from inaccurate or incomplete address information.
If we discover an error in shipping information we will make every attempt to contact you to correct the problem.
Delivery to Remote Locations
Canada's a big place and in the rare case that the delivery address is in a location where our usual shipping methods aren’t available, there will be an additional cost for delivery. Cases like this are extremely rare and we would contact you before we ship your order to ensure that you are aware of the additional cost.
